GROUP MEETING MONDAY 20th. OCTOBER

The meeting time is 6.30 for 7.00 p.m.   Please allow a little extra time to reach the Golf Club in view of the widespread roadworks in Oxford.

Members have responded generously to the request for donations to mark Rose Southby’s leaving, and the meeting will start with a presentation to Rose.  We shall be marking her moving on and thanking her both for her role in setting up the group and for the personal support she has offered to so many men.

There will be a raffle as usual so please bring lots of prizes.  The proceeds will be donated to Parkinson's UK Oxford Branch – our speaker for the evening, Paul Mayhew-Archer, script writer and comedian, who will give an illustrated talk about his life in film, television and radio, is a Parkinson’s patient.

SATURDAY 8th. NOVEMBER: Round Table Fireworks, South Park, Headington: We shall need at least a dozen collectors at the fireworks.  Please let us know on Monday if you can help – or if you can’t attend this meeting, email me to volunteer.  It’s a big fundraiser for us – last year we raised £1120 in two hours.

SATURDAY 6th. December at 7 pm: Skittles evening at the Ferryman Inn, Bablock Hythe

Bablock Hythe is between Stanton Harcourt and Northmoor, west of Oxford.  Post code for sat nav: OX29 5AT.  We have a Choice of menu as follows:  Chicken and chips/Fish and chips/Sausage and chips/a Vegetarian meal.
